Certificate distribution function under Vishwakarma Scheme held

JAMMU, Mar 22: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk here today organised Certificate Distribution Function under PM Vishwakarma Scheme in which certificates were distributed among the trainees of two batches in Tailoring and one batch of Carpenter Trade on successful completion of the Basic Skill Training under PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu highlighted the basic objectives of the scheme and said that there is provision of basic training of five to seven days and advanced training of 15 days with stipend, providing of modern voucher toolkit of Rs. 15000 free of cost to the trained Vishwakarma’s besides linkage with credit based soft loans and marketing support for expansion of their business.
On this occasion staff from SBI conducted an awareness session for loan under PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Others present on the occasion were Inderjeet Singh, Workshop Superintendent; Raj Kumar, HoD Mechanical Engineering; Manjeet Singh, HoD Electrical Engineering; Sukhdeep Singh, HoD Civil Engineering/SPoC; Sakshi Kapahi, Lecturer I&C; Paramjot Singh, Demonstrator Civil Engineering; Radhika from NSDC; Amit Kapoor, Instructor; Sunil Sharma, Surekha Rani, Sangojeta Mehra, staff of Government Polytechnic Jammu and others were also present on the occasion.
