Srinagar, Nov 27: The Central GST wing carried out raids across multiple locations in Srinagar city over the past two days, targeting alleged GST evasion.
An official said that a team from the central GST headed by Additional Commissioner Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhary, arrived at Hotel Meridian in Raj Bagh with a search warrant to investigate room number 208.
The room is occupied by employee of the Indian Tobacco Company (ITC).
“Residences and rented accommodations linked to individuals associated with the company were also searched today as part of the operation conducted under Section 67 of the GST Act.”
