Chairman CPP, writer call on Governor

SRINAGAR, July 3: O P Shah, Chairman, Centre for Peace and Progress, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Shah informed the Governor about his current stay in the Valley and his meetings and discussions with leaders of various shades of opinion about the need for restoration of peace and normalcyin the State. He stressed the importance of meaningful and uninterrupted dialogue being commenced with all stakeholders without any further delay for bringing about sustained rest in the Kashmir Valley.
David Devadas, who has been writing on Kashmir for many years and working with the youth in the Valley in the recent past, also called on Governor.
Devadas informed the Governor about his views regarding the resolution of certain continuing issues and the need to focus on reaching out to Kashmiri youth through administrative, political and educational initiatives.
Governor appreciated Devadas’s suggestions and urged him to sustain his endeavours in working for the betterment of society.
