SAMBA, May 14: District Monitoring Committee (DMC) Samba met today under the guidance of Adnan Sayeed, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Samba (Principal District & Sessions Judge Samba), in the office chamber of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Samba.
This meeting was chaired by Adnan Sayeed (Chairman, DLSA Samba). The main objective of convening this meeting was to examine the requirement of setting up new jail within territorial limits of district Samba (as there is no jail in district Samba) and identification as well as acquisition of the land for the same with all the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Video Conferencing for conducting Mulakaats and tele-medicine facilities for the ease of the inmates strictly as the mandate of Model Prison Manual, 2016.
Abhishek Sharma, District Magistrate Samba, Vinay Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police Sambaand Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA Samba, joined the meeting physically whereas Veerinder Kumar, Superintendent, Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Koushal Kumar, Superintendent, District Jail Kathua and Harish Kotwal, Superintendent, District Jail Amphalla joined the meeting through virtual mode.
