JAMMU, Apr 17: Parvez Ahmed, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Ahmed informed the Governor about the recent initiatives taken by the Bank to enlarge its services by expanding its infrastructure, particularly with a view to promoting the digital economy.
The Governor discussed with Chairman issues relating to the best possible and most productive use of its Corporate Social Responsibility funds and providing targeted support to identified segments of the economy.
He stressed the J&K Bank’s high responsibility to play a growingly larger role in accelerating the growth and development of the State, particularly focusing on providing openings and opportunities for the youth living in the backward and less connected areas.
