JAMMU, July 26: Chairman SC Department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Dr Karan Bhagat called on president All India Congress Committee Malikarjun Kharge today in Delhi and apprised him about various issues of SC Community in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Bhagat raised issues of Scheduled Castes over various aspects of their problems with the Congress president and discussed the sufferings of these people threadbare. He said that the post of Vice Chairman of SC Board of Jammu and Kashmir has not been filled up for the last several years besides SC people are being deprived from their rights in JK UT.
AICC president gave patient hearing to Bhagat and advised him and other leaders of the J&K belonging to the Dalit community to educate the masses about the role of the Congress party for the oppressed and depressed classes and asked them to raise their voice against the injustice and discrimination by the BJP Govt. He said that Congress believes in the inclusive policies especially to uplift the deprived sections of the society.
He said various measures were adopted from time to time by the Congress Party to bring these sections to the centre stage of democracy and politics and all institutions in democracy. Unfortunately these sections were exploited and misled by various political parties for vote bank politics.
