Chairperson DDC discusses modalities for formulating ADP

KATHUA, Feb 20:- To discuss the modalities for the formArea Developmental Plan (ADP) under District Capex Budget 2023-2024, District Development Council Chairperson Kathua Col. Mahan Singh (Retd), today chaired a meeting of DDC members and concerned District officers here in the conference Hall of DDC Council office.
ADDC, Kathua Ankur Mahajan, CPO Kathua, XEN PDD, CMO, CEO, XEN PHE, XEN irrigation, XEN PWD besides other District officers attended the meeting.
Additional District Development Commissioner apprised the meeting about physical and financial progress achieved under various sectors in the current fiscal year.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson urged all the DDC members and District officers to coordinate with each other for the formulation of the plans on a rational basis while upholding the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj. He laid thrust on taking up the construction works of remaining Panchayat Ghars and BDO office complex buildings across the district in the upcoming Capex budget.
Col Mahan Singh also enquired about the status of work completion with regard to District Development Council Building. He passed directions to the concerned executing agency to complete it within stipulated time.
The DDC Chairperson further asked the DDC members to take up work after exercising due care and diligence keeping in view their feasibility and the aspirations of the people.
Col Mahan Singh exhorted the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during the FY 2023-24 in their respective jurisdiction and also laid special stress on the execution and completion of the work taken up under previous year plan.
The meeting also held detailed deliberations on issues like SBM, Amrit Sarovar, CD Panchayat, PMAY besides taking up the issues with GM DIC about hiring of local workforce/labour in industries.
