Chairperson PWWA visits DPL, interacts with police personnel wives

LEH, Feb 14: Chairperson, Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), Ladakh, Poornima Gaikwad Khandare accompanied by Jayashri Tuti and Pragati Pandey today visited the District Police Lines (DPL) and interacted with the wives of police personnel.
Speaking to the participants, she said that various welfare measures related to the families of police personnel will be taken up. In reference to imparting training and upgrading the skill sets of lady police personnel, she said that the infrastructural facilities available at the Welfare Centre of DPL shall upgraded which includes various trades like knitting, sewing and beautification courses.
For the welfare of police children, Khandare asked for establishment of children’s library at Welfare Centre and also a play ground for kids of the police families residing in Family Quarters of the District Police Lines.
SSP Leh, Rajiv Pandey briefed about the various welfare measures and activities being taken by District Police Leh. SP Security/AIG Welfare PHQ Gaurav Mahajan and Deputy SP Hq Leh Ishtyaq A Kacho were also present on the occasion.
Deputy SP DAR Ashiq Malik coordinated the whole program.
