SAMBA, Jan 29: Under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, Police has produced a Challan in the Court against murder accused Gurdeep Singh of Nandpur and one lady of Ferozepur (Punjab) in Arti murder case of Nandpur falling under Police Station Ramgarh.
As per the case on October 27, 2023 inquest under Section 174 Cr.PC was initiated into the death of one Arti Devi, wife of Gurdeep Singh, resident of Nandpur, Tehsil Ramgarh and district Samba to ascertain the actual cause of her death.
Police conducted the inquest proceedings and converted the Section 174 into murder case under Section 302/109 IPC in which main accused was Gurdeep Singh, son of Raj Kumar, resident of Nandpur who was husband of the deceased.
One lady was also accused in the killing and she was from Ferozepur (Punjab) and both the accused were arrested.
The motive behind the murder was intention for second marriage by Gurdeep, after killing his wife, with his beloved with whom he had illicit affair.
Investigating Officer concluded the investigation and filed the chargesheet in the Court today for judicial determination.
Investigation of the case was conducted by SHO Police Station Ramgarh, Amit Sangra under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SSP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
