JAMMU, June 2: State Vigilance Organization today produced Challan against Sardar Deedar Singh, then posted as Senior Supervisor Khadi Village and Industries Board (KVIB), who was caught red handed while accepting bribe.
Challan has been produced by investingating officer, Inspector Kamal Sangra in case FIR number 04/2014 P/S VOJ, pertaining to the allegations by complainant Parveen Kumar of Gajansoo, who had applied for obtaining loan from KVIB, Jammu. He had approached S Deedar Singh, Sr Supervisor KVIB Jammu, who had demanded an amount of Rs 50,000/- for sanctioning of his loan. On persuasions by the complainant, he agreed to initially receive Rs 5,000/- for processing his loan case.
As such case FIR number 04/2014 P/S VOJ was registered in Vigilance Organization u/s 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 Bk and Section 161 RPC. Accordingly, Sardar Deedar Singh, son of Bhagat Singh, resident of Sector-1/P, Preet Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, was caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs 5,000. The bribe amount was recovered from him in presence of the independent witnesses.
