Chamber interacts with police authorities

JAMMU, Jan 9: Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized an interactive session at Chamber House with the Police authorities where in besides SSP Jammu. Uttam Chand, SSP Traffic, Mohan Lal various SHOs, representatives of the Bazar Associations of Raghunath Bazar, Kanak Mandi and Old Hospital Road were present. President CCI, Rakesh Gupta while welcoming the Police authorities highlighted the problems being faced by the members of the business community in these bazars due to faulty traffic system. He stressed for streamlining of the traffic system and strictly follow the one way traffic rules. President Raghunath Bazar Businessman Association while speaking on the occasion requested the Police authorities not to allow the parking of any type of vehicles in the Raghunath Bazar area between 8 am to 11.30 am. President Kanak Mandi Traders Association requested the authorities that no car should be allowed to be parked in the Kanak Mandi area and also to stop the movement of all types of vehicles from Ghass Mandi Chowk towards City Chowk. The general secretary Old Hospital Road Traders Association requested that only scooters (both way) should be allowed on Old Hospital Road and the Cars / Commercial Vehicles should be allowed to ply from Super Bazar Parking area towards Parade via Purani Mandi and no car or Commercial Vehicles should be allowed to ply towards City Chowk. The Police Authorities present in the meeting assured that the demands put forth in the meeting will be taken care-off and the traffic rules will be implemented strictly.
