JAMMU, Dec 14: Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) Secretary, Gaurav Gupta here today called on P.K Bhat, Additional Commissioner of State Taxes Department (STD) and discussed the issues of business fraternity.
Gupta raised the issues regarding inspections being carried out by the enforcement wing of STD at various business establishments across Jammu city.
“Such inspections create doubts and anxiety among trader community,” Chamber Secretary said.
Bhat gave a patient hearing to CCI Secretary and asked the traders to simply comply with the requirements of law under Goods and Services Tax.
He further said that there is no need to feel any kind of anxiety or pressure and added that the STD will render all possible assistance in handholding or resolution of any difficulty under GST regime.
