NEW DELHI, Sept 2: Chana prices fell 0.54 per cent to Rs 2,923 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators trimmed positions, triggered by increased supplies from producing regions in the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in October declined by Rs 16, or 0.54 per cent to Rs 2,923 per quintal with an open interest of 1,00,600 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in September moved down by Rs 12, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 2,848 per quintal in 92,330 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to increased supplies from producing regions in the physical market against subdued demand from dal mills. (PTI)
