Chancellor CUJ G Parthasarathy chairs varsity’s Court Meeting

JAMMU Sept 7: The Chancellor, Central University of Jammu G Parthasarathy today chaired 5th Court Meeting of the University, at Bagla Campus.
While chairing the meeting, the Chancellor approved decisions taken by University’s 14th Executive Council meeting, held on August 31, 2018.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, presented annual report of the University to the Chancellor. The meeting was attended by the Chancellor G Parthasarathy, VC Prof Ashok Aima, Prof M K Dhar Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Dr Ashok Bhan, former DGP, J&K Police, Balwant Thakur, Prof Parvez Mushtaza, Dean School of Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Registrar CUJ, Dr Ravi Kumar, all Deans and Heads of various departments and other Professors of the CUJ.
This was first visit of G Parthasarathy after being appointed Chancellor of the University. The Chancellor addressed staff members, including teaching and non teaching. While speaking, he said that he would try his best to make the University as centre of excellence.
The Chancellor appreciated decisions taken by his predecessor and former Governor J&K, N N Vohra. The Chancellor hoped that the incumbent VC would take the University to new highest in academic as well as in development of the whole campus.
Earlier, the Chancellor reached here on Thursday and delivered a guest lecture to officers of 26 Infantry Division on ‘Indo- Pak Relations’ at Tiger Auditorium, Headquarters 26 Infantry Division. Accompanied by Registrar and the Executive Engineer, the Chancellor drove around the University Campus and inspected ongoing construction works of the campus.
