Chandigam Baradari returns to Chandi Mata Asthapan after 36 years

KUPWARA, June 17: In a historic event, the Chandigam Baradari visited the Chandi Mata Asthapan at Naranjan Akhada, Chandigam (Lolab), Kupwara for the first time after migration i.e. after 36 years.
This significant pilgrimage included darshan at the Mata Kheer Bhawani Mandir in Tikker, Kupwara.
The Chandi Mata Asthapan Prabandhak Committee, responsible for organizing the yatra, also arranged a Bhandara at the venue, serving Prasad to the yatris. The event saw overwhelming participation and support.
The Prabandhak Committee extended heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration, police forces, and local committees and residents for their full cooperation and provision of essential services, ensuring the yatra’s success.
Meanwhile, the committee has urged the Government and District Administration to construct a Yatri Bhawan and undertake repairs of the dilapidated structures, including Samadhis, at the Chandi Mata Mandir, Naranjan Akhada, to prevent any inconvenience for future pilgrims.
