Chandigarh University ranks 7th among top 25 Young Universities of India

JAMMU, July 29: The prestigious Top 25 Young Universities of India Rankings 2019 jointly done by Outlook and ICARE rating agency is out now and Chandigarh University Gharuan has made it to the list.
The ranking which has been released recently has ranked Chandigarh University 7th among the top 25 Young Universities of India with an overall score of 50.66 in the category while the university has ranked 10th in the top 50 private State universities of India category.
Elated on inclusion of CU in the Outlook-ICARE rankings 2019, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor said, “We are just 7 years old university and yet we have managed to barge into the prestigious rankings which are conducted independently by the rating agency and is based on stringent parameters which includes Faculty-Student Ratio (FSR), Faculty with PhD (FWP), Research Papers published per faculty (PPF), Citations Per Paper (CPP) and Inclusiveness and Diversity (ID)”.
While giving details about the ranking Dr RS Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University said, “The University is strictly working to meet the aspirations of today’s youth and it is in this direction that CU is taking new initiatives to compete with world’s top ranking institutions”.
“As far as Chandigarh University achievement in the field of research and innovation is concerned which happens to be one of the most important parameter in the ranking process, the university has been able to file 400 patents within a span of 3 years, Dr”, Dr Bawa added.
