JAMMU, Aug 29: The National Student Union of India (NSUI) has demanded to change the date of NEET UG entrance examination.
National president of NSUI, Neeraj Kundan in a letter written to the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, apprised him of the problems of the students and has demanded to change the date.
NSUI chief stated that due to Corona crisis, NEET UG entrance examination has been postponed many times due to which students are facing mental stress.
After class 12th, the students move towards making their future. In such a situation they also participate in many entrance examinations, but this time most of the entrance examinations are continuous, so it is very difficult for the students to prepare for the examinations.
The current date of NEET UG is September 12, and there are many entrance exams ahead and before it. NSUI president further said that students are the future of the country, so Govt should take care of their future. “Admission in NEET UG is the dream of many students, so we request the Education Minister not to break the dreams of the students and extend the NEET UG exam by at least two weeks,” Kundan pleaded.
“Like ICAR exam is on September 7, 8 and 9. Physics Madhya Pradesh Board is on September 11, Maths CBSE board is on September 13, COMEDK on September 14, OJEE on September 6 and 18. The students will be under intense stress these days. It will be more appropriate to change the NEET exam date,” NSUI chief maintained.
