Charak alleges conspiracy to damage Dogra heritage

Jammu, Aug 23: The president Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K Th. Gulchain Singh Charak has cautioned the people of Jammu region against a deep rooted conspiracy being hatched by certain inimical powers to destroy the pristine cultural heritage and inflict heavy losses to the socio-economic condition of the people.
Expressing his grave concern over the prevailing political and socio-economic condition of the people of Jammu region at Central Working Committee meeting held today, Mr. Charak suspected that a policy in camera is apace to give a set back to the Dogra heritage which has ruled the state for pretty long time dispensing justice and development at the grass root level.
Coming heavily on the rulers at the helm of affairs, the president of the Sabha reiterated that most valuable heritage of Dogras including Mubarak Mandi Complex, Abhinav Theatre and other monuments are witnessing the worst condition under the present circumstances. The pristine heritage of our ancestors is being made to deteriorate under the conspiracy for which the present rulers are totally responsible, he alleged and added that the present condition of Abhinav Theatre in the Cultural Academy Complex is also highly deplorable.
Maintaining that our present generation is answerable to the younger generation for degradation and annihilation of our heritage, Mr. Charak called upon the right thinking and selfless people to come forward and jointly work for the survival of Dogra culture and rights of the people. He exclaimed that a time has come when that Dogra community is being deprived of its fundamental rights and heritage at the hands of so called elected rulers.
Referring to the incidents of escalated militancy and anit-national activities in the state in general and Duggar Pradesh in particular, Mr. Charak regretted that it is again the people of Jammu who are worst sufferers. He expressed concern and agony over the miserable condition of people living on the border and LoC which is witnessing heavy shelling from the Army of neighbouring country. He reminded that discrimination of the state government as well as central government with Jammu province has become a order of the day. He warmed the representatives of Jammu people to save their rights with a true spirit otherwise relinquish the responsibility and beg pardon from the electorates.
At the meeting the problems of Numberdar, Chowkidars and ex-servicemen were also discussed in detail. The meeting also decided that “General Council” meeting of Sabha would be held on Saturday the 12th September, 2015.
The working committee members also visited Mubarak Mandi Complex to know its latest position and status.
