Charak for new train from Jammu to Chandigarh

NEW DELHI, Feb 18: Former Minister and member CWC, Th Gulchain Singh Charak today called on the Union Minister for Railways Pawan Kumar Bansal and discussed with him the problems being faced by tourists and pilgrims visiting J&K due to inadequate arrangements of transport.
Mr Charak pointed out that the problem can be solved by introducing some new trains. He demanded that Rajdhnai Express be introduced between New Delhi-Jammu-Katra, one Express train between Jammu-Kota and Jammu-Chandigarh while Jammu Tawi-Barauni (Bihar) be extended to Bhagalpur. He also demanded train service between Anantnag and Pehalgam to facilitate the tourists and pilgrims.
The CWC member explained the necessity for starting these trains to ease out the unprecedented rush of the pilgrims/ tourists in the whole State and Jammu province in particular. The Union Minister after detailed discussion assured to take the appropriate action to meet these genuine demands.
