JAMMU, Apr 11 : Charanjeet Singh Cheeku, PYC Lok Sabha president Jammu- Poonch and Varinder Singh Chib, senior PYC leader, have been inducted as general secretaries of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC).
Their appointments have been approved by All India Youth Congress secretary, Dr Uma Shanker Pandey and Shishpal Singh Kharwala, secretart IYC and incharge PYC affairs, on the recommendation of president, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress, Pranav Shagotra.
Chib has been re-inducted to the post while Charanjeet has been elevated as general secretary. Chib is MA LLb from University of Jammu and is perusing Ph.D. from the same University. He started his political career as a student leader from College and remained president of MAM College and subsequently became NSUI general secretary.
Charanjeet Singh, is an advocate and former Law graduate and student leader from University of Jammu. He is also Post Graduate in Human Rights from University of Jammu. He started his political career as a student leader from the College and then became NSUI general secretary and State vice-president NSUI, LYC general secretary & LYC president for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Committee.
Both the leaders expressed full faith in the Youth Congress leadership at the State and National level and pledged to work more dedicatedly to strengthen the Youth Congress in the State and wage a struggle against corruption.
