Charas, cash recovered in Bijbehara

Srinagar, May 11: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence unit Srinagar today recovered around 3 kilograms of charas and Rs 8 lakh cash from a residential house in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
As per the recovery memo, on specific information they raided the residential premises of Jalaludin Dar, a resident of village Tulkhun tehil Bijbehara in the presence of panchs of the area, where from the objectionable material which includes charas and money were recovered.
“There was specific intelligence regarding a large quantity of heroin that was being stored in a residential place in the area and sleuths from J&K Police along with other relevant agencies carried out the raid,” the memo said.
