REASI, June 27: Police has filed charge-sheet against two militants, who were arrested from Mahore area in January last.
The militants, namely Mohd Yousaf, son of Ghulam Haider of Dewal and Mohd Ashraf son of Ghulam Din of Lar Tehsil Mahore, were planning and working upon to revive militancy and carry out a major terrorist attack in Jammu zone.
On their disclosure, a big cache of arms and ammunition- including Chinese pistols with magazines, pistol cartridges and live Chinese grenades were recovered, which they had concealed in a hideout.
Both of them were in touch with their handler Talib Hussain, a LeT terrorist in PoK through Whatsapp call and messages. A case FIR number 01/2021, under Section 120-B, 121,122,123,124 IPC 13, 18, 39 ULA & 7/25 Arms Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Mahore.
After completing all aspects of investigation, including expert opinion of Forensic Science Laboratory and complying legal procedures, case was approved and then sent for accord of Government sanction from Home Department which was sanctioned.
Charge-sheet against the accused was produced in the Court of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu within stipulated time period of their arrest.
