JAMMU, Dec 26: Special Judge CBI Jammu Rajesh Sekri has framed charges against Pankaj Pathania, Postal Assistant at Udhampur and Nasreen, the then Postal Assistant while working at Head Post Office, Udhampur, who had caused loss to the tune of Rs 52,32,300 to the Department of Posts and wrongful gain to themselves by resorting to misappropriation of 129 PPF accounts.
The charges against these accused have been framed for commission of offences punishable under Sections 120-B, 420,409, 477-A, 201 of RPC and Section 5(2) r/w 5(1) (c) of J&K PC Act, Samvat 2006 and Sections 66, 66-C and 66 D of the Information Technology Act 2000.
