Chari Yatra to Shree Mata Vaishno Devi by Shiv Sena on Sept 25

JAMMU, Aug 27: Shiv Sena J&K unit has decided to take out 40th Chari Yatra from Jammu on September 25, on the first day of auspicious Navratras and will perform Chari Poojan at the Holy Cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji on September 26.
Addressing a press conference here today, Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena J&K unit said the Chari Yatra will proceed after performing rituals at the temple of Mata Kol Kandoli in Nagrota (first Darshan) on September 25 and before that certain rituals will be performed at Maharaja Hari Singh Park after which worship of Akhand Jyoti will be performed and a Bhandara will be organized.
After this the Yatra will start in the form of a grand procession and the Chari along with Akhand Jyoti will move for Katra after passing through Raghunath Bazaar, Purani Mandi and Kol Kandoli temple.
On first Shardiya Navratra on September 26 worship will be performed at the holy cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi with full rituals.
Sahni said that many senior Shiv Sena leaders including party high command, devotees from Punjab, Maharashtra, Himachal, Haryana, UP and Gujarat will participate in the Yatra.
He appealed to the people of J&K to be a part of this Yatra and expected the administration to extend full support and cooperation in the religious programme.
Those who were present in the press conference were Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh; president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh and Ashok Thapa.
