JAMMU, Sep 6: T R Gupta Public Charitable Trust started a free medical clinic at Trust Bhawan, here today.
The clinic was kick-started by Chairman of the Trust T R Gupta by performing Havan and Pooja in the presence of trustees namely MM Gupta (Retired Session Judge), Dr Ashok Gupta, Naresh Gupta, K B Jandial (Retired IAS), KK Langar, S K Sharma (retired IRS), Yashpaul Gupta, Ajay Sabharwal and Rajendra Motial along with their spouses, friends and people from neighbourhood.
On the first day of the clinic, Dr Ved Parkash Gupta (Physician) examined and gave treatment to a large number of patients. The Trust also provided free medicines to the patients. Dr Tilak Raj Gupta (Ayurvedic) also examined the patients, particularly suffering from diabetes and gave them free Ayurvedic medicines.
The clinic will remain functional from every Monday to Saturday between 10 am to 1 pm.
Earlier, people present on the occasion, honoured TR Gupta by profoundly garlanding him and expressing hope that he will live a long and healthy life so that he could achieve the mission of serving the needy and poor strata of society with utmost zeal and passion for which the trust has been founded.
