JAMMU, May 30: The charred body of an unidentified person was recovered today following a fire in a grass field in Pallanwala.
As per police sources, fire broke out in ‘Sarkanda’ (also known as elephant grass) near DCB Dhar in Pallanwalla.
They said the body was noticed by some villagers in the fire-ravaged fields and was subsequently recovered by the local police.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of a hospital in Khour and efforts are on to identify the deceased. However, Pallanwala Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
