JAMMU, Oct 30: Amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns, the five day programme of Chaturved Shatkam Yagya culminated here today at Arya Samaj Bakshi Nagar.
The Yagya had started on October 26 with the renowned Sanskrit scholar, Dr. Vidya Dhar solemnising the pious rituals.
There was a large footfall of devotees to offer Aahuti to the Fire God of Yagya during both the morning and evening sessions of the programme.
Acharya Som Dev Ji of Gurukul Maralna Rajasthan enlightened the gathering with his spiritual sermons while the devotional singer Dinesh Pathik mesmerised the devotees with his songs in the praise of Almighty.
Ravi Kant, president Arya Samaj Bakshi Nagar and an Yoga expert gave a lecture on Yoga while the occasion was also attended by secretary, Yogesh Gupta, managing committee members including Sanjiv, Pawan, Anil Gupta, Narender Trehan, Dr. Anita and others.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Arun Chowdhary, president All J&K Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and heads of various Arya Samajs of J&K.
A Rishi Langar was also served at the end of the programme.
