JAMMU, Dec 15: A V Chauhan today took over as new IG CRPF, Jammu sector in place of Kuldeep Dhar, who has been posted in the CRPF Headquarters, New Delhi.
Chauhan had joined the CRPF in 1986 and has vast experiences in both administrative and operational fields as he has also served in the Kashmir valley, North Eastern States and Naxal prone areas of the country. He has also rendered his services to Special Protection Group and CRPF Directorate.
Dhar briefed the new incumbent about present security scenario of Jammu sector and challenges to the security forces.
The CRPF personnel gave farewell to Dhar and accorded welcome to his successor, A V Chauhan.
