The attention of Govt is drawn towards the soaring price rises of eatables specially of vegetables for the last couple of months.
The CAPD & Legal Metrology Deptt, who are authorised to check/control the prices of essential commodities are presently in deep slumber. The hoarders and profiteers are creating artificial scarcity of essential commodities in the State.
The farmers who are toiling hard for sustaining of essential commodities are living a hand to mouth, life whereas, the wholesellers, hoarders and middlemen (Aarties) enjoy hefty benefits due to wrong and ineffective policies of Govt. In order to have check on rising inflation, the Govt should constitute special squads for detecting hoardings, price fixation etc. Display of price lists be made mandatory for all the vendors.
