Sir,
Over the last few days, there hsve been reports of leak of papers of exams conducted by different Boards.First came the report that Economics paper for the 12th class and Mathematics paper for the 10th class conducted by The Central Board of School Education, have been reported to be leaked resulting in massive uproar across the country and leaving the candidates sore and disappointed.Similarly, the English Paper of three yr Degree Course and Physical Education Paper of the 11th class being conducted respectively by JU and JKBOSE are also reported to have been leaked and thus, deferred.Following reports of leakage of paper, JKBOSE has ordered postponement of all the remaining examinations of Hr Sec Part-1 Class 11th, (T1 andT2) summer zone, Jammu Division, which were scheduled to be held on April 5 and onwards.Though, the CBSE has provided a big relief to the candidates of the 10th class by exempting them from appearing afresh for the 10th Mathematics paper,a large no of students of 12th class will have to write the Economics paper again. The leak of Q papers puts a question mark over the functioning of the bodies entrusted with the job of conducting the exams. There have been instances in the past too when Q Papers of various Boards were leaked resulting in cancellation/postponement of papers causing undue harassment to the candidates. On the complaint of CBSE,the police have detained some persons in this regard and sought some details from Google to find out the persons responsible for the leakage. The JKBOSE and JU too may take steps to nab the culprits responsible for the leak. But the fact remains that the hapless candidates have suffered for no fault of theirs and the credibility of these bodies has been shattered. Thus, there is need to exercise vigilance and maintain sanctity of the exams and take precautionary and foolproof measures to prevent leakage of Q Papers so that the candidates in general are not put to avoidable inconvenience.
Yours etc…
