SRINAGAR, June 4: A prominent Gujjar leader Din Mohammed Cheetah today joined J&K National Conference Party.
The Party vice president and former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah welcomed the Cheetah into the party fold at his Srinagar residence.
Provincial president for Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leader Mir Saifullah, Provincial secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir, Dy Political Secretary to vice president Mudassir Shahmiri, Youth wing leader Zahid Mughal were also present on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that Deen Mohammed Cheetah has been active in politics for decades and has a wide ranging experience in public service. Welcoming the new entrants, Omar hoped that the party would benefit from his experience in public life, particularly the welfare of tribals.
On the occasion Mehraj- Ud- Din Cheetah also joined the party fold. They expressed complete confidence in the party leadership of the party and vowed to strengthen the underway efforts of the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah for the restoration of constitutional and democratic rights of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
