Chemist booked for assault on docs

POONCH, Apr 4: A  chemist has been booked by police for allegedly  man-handling of two doctors at Primary Health Centre Dhar Galoon in Mendhar Sub Division today.
The accused has been identified as Tahir Mehmood, son of late Sadiq Khan, resident of the same village. He runs a Medical shop near Govt Hospital. Over  an issue of  Medicines he had some altercation with a lady doctor, Dr Samina Naz. He allegedly abused  doctor on duty inside the hospital and when Medical Officer Dr Mohd Latief intervened and asked him to get out of the hospital, he allegedly manhandled the doctor. In the process Dr Latief  and Dr Naz received injuries.
The Medical staff then closed down the PHC as protest and went to the office of BMO Mendhar  and narrated Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan the whole story. The doctors then lodged an FIR No.25/ 2018 U/S 353/354/451/ 382 RPC  against the chemist.   With the intervention of BMO then the medical staff reopened the PHC.
