JAMMU, Sept 7: A chemist shop completely gutted in a fire incident in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts.

According to Police sources, a mysterious fire broke out in a chemist shop ‘R K Traders’ situated in Talab Tillo area opposite to Vermani Showroom around 1 PM today. The shop was closed and the fire was detected only when smoke was seen coming out of the shop.
The nearby shopkeepers immediately informed the owner of the shop as well as fire tenders. However, before the fire tenders reached the spot and controlled the fire, everything in the shop turned into ashes.
A team from Police Post Talab Tillo also reached the spot and called an FSL team, which collected samples of wiring and other electrical things inside the shop to know the exact reason of the fire. However, prima facie, it is believed that the fire occurred due to some short circuit inside the shop.
