MENDHAR, Oct 2: The police recovered the dead body of a 35-year-old Chemist under mysterious circumstances from his home in Dhargloon area of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch district.
The official sources said that at about 0940 hours, the Chemist Tahir Mehmood, son of Late Mohammad Sadeeq (Retired ZEO) was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his room. A police party from Police Station Gursai rushed to the spot. The police examined the spot and collected circumstantial evidence and later shifted the body to SDH Mendhar for postmortem.
A police officer said that the body after postmortem and performing all the legal formalities, was handed over to the family. He said deceased Tahir owned a Medical shop near Sangla Chowk in Mendhar.
SHO, Gursai, Insp Niaz Ahmed said that that proceedings under 174 CrPC have been launched.
