KISHTWAR, Sept 19: The employees of Joint Venture of Pakal Dul, Keru and Kawar held a meet under the banner of Chenab Valley Hydro Power Project Workers Union at Union Office here under the chairmanship of its president, JL Parihar and discussed their demands.
The meeting discussed various issues and demanded that projects be started immediately. They also demanded recruitment of local youth on priority, avoiding recruitment of State and NHPC employees except in revenue discipline, fixation of age limit for recruitment as per J&K SRO instead of 30 years and eligibility criteria to apply for the job 60% instead of 75% for J&K youths.
Later they also constituted Union body for two years term, comprising of OP Singh as president and Mohd Iqbal Butt as general secretary.
