Chenab Valley Welfare Forum highlights demands

KISHTWAR, Oct 28: Chenab Valley Welfare Forum (CVWF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Joginder Bhandari, in which various demands relating to the development and increasing un-employment in the district were discussed.
While speaking, Ravi Badyal, general secretary, criticized the management of M/s GVK Energy Limited for its failure to start the work over the Ratle Hydro Electric Project Drabshalla and also expressed resentment for not providing employment to local unemployed youths.
Farooq Tapal, senior vice president, has urged the Chief Minister to hand over the Rattle Hydro Electric Project to Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited.
Joginder Bhandari demanded opening of two more LPG cylinders distribution agencies in the district so as to cater the needs of the people, who were facing manifold problems due to the shortage of the LPG cylinders.
Among others present were Sajjad Ahmed, Khurshid Sheikh, Haroon, Rajinder Shan, Rakesh Sharma, Anil Sharma, etc.
