SRINAGAR: Reacting to controversies surrounding India’s World Cup 2019 orange jersey, former Jammu and Kashmir chief Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday said Chennai is facing an acute shortage of water but people rather expend energies on the colour of Indian cricket team’s jersey.
“Talk about misplaced priorities,” Ms Mehbooba, who is the president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said.
“Addressing the looming global water crisis is a security challenge that must be addressed asap. Chennai’s facing an acute shortage of water but we d much rather expend energies on the colour of Indian cricket team’s jersey.
