SAMBA, Nov 20: Chhamb Displaced Persons Association-1965, 1971 has strongly criticized the Modi led BJP Government at the Centre for causing delay in sanctioning package to the PoJK refugees and other displaced persons.
In a meeting of the DPs held here under the chairmanship of S R Nagial, the speakers discussed the issue with regard to the recent developments and launched attack on the Central Govt for making the issue more complicated by returning package to the State. Mr Nagial alleged that BJP Government is more sympathetic to the Kashmiri migrants and it has shown non-concern to the POJK and West Pakistan/ Chhamb refugees. With their recent act, their designs have been exposed now.
Mr Nagial said what is problems to the Union Government in sanctioning financial package while according citizenship rights, is responsibility of State Government. Let the Centre do its job first and refugees would mount pressure on the State Government too, for the state subject rights. They should release the package for POJK and should deal with the issue of West Pakistani refugees separately on the pattern of Kashmiri migrants.
