JAMMU, Oct 14: The 41st Chhari Yatra led by Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit was taken out with traditional fervour from historic Raghunath Temple here today.
The Yatra passed through Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Raj Tilak Road and Kol Kandoli temple-first Darshan and culminated at picturesque Trikuta hills, the abode of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
The Yatra was organized under the patronage of Dr. Ritu Singh and Baal Sant Sahil Ji Maharaj, who flagged off the Yatra after proper rituals and prayers at Shri Raghunath Temple.
At Katra, the Yatra was received by officials of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Shiv Sena Katra unit. The second Darshan was conducted at Deva Mai. Subsequently, the Chhari Yatra reached its ultimate destination at the Darbar of Mata Vaishno Devi.
Speaking on the occasion, Manish Sahni stated that on the auspicious occasion of Navratras, special Chhari Puja rituals will be conducted at the Holy Cave Shrine and prayers for brotherhood, peace and prosperity will be offered.
On this occasion Dharmarth Trust felicitated Shiv Sena national leader, Ashok Tiwari; Vinod Kumar and J&K president, Manish Sahni by presenting them ceremonial Chunri. Shiv Sena presented mementos to Dr. Ritu Singh and Baal Sant Sahil Ji Maharaj.
