LEH, Sept 7: Member Parliament (MP) Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang inaugurated a mobile tower at famous Pangung Lake near Lukung.
Chief General Manager (CGM) J&K circle Dr Labh Singh, TDM BSNL, Leh, Phuntsog Dorje and other Engineers of BSNL were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Thupstan Chewang requested the CGM to take necessary steps for installation of mobile towers in other border areas and hoped for better improvement in telecommunication services in whole Ladakh.
Responding to the demand for installation of mobile tower at other border villages, MP said that the matter has already taken up with Central Government and he will try his best for early installation of the towers in other areas.
CGM requested the villagers to cooperate with the staff of BSNL in its maintenance. He also assured to install mobile tower in other border villages of Changthang.
Sarpanch Tsering Angchuk demanded installation of mobile towers in other border villages of the area.
