JAMMU, Sept 30: Vice Chairman J&K State Advisory Board for Kissan, Daljit Singh Chib today visited the border area of Garkhal and Pargwal in Akhnoor area of Jammu district.
He interacted with the border people there and said that maintenance on peace along borders was must as J&K has suffered over the 30 years of turmoil a lot and border people always became the victims of Pak misadventures in this period.
He said the people residing on borders have always displayed the courage and valour and they worked shoulder to shoulder with forces in safeguarding the country.
As the border people are fully aware of the consequences of the border skirmishes, he expressed the hope that the tension will be defused soon as war was never an option to solve the issue.
Singh said India tried its best to resolve the issue amicably but Pakistan never showed the sincerity and always back stabbed us.
He said as there was no alternative left for the Government as it is the duty of every country to fight terrorism. He assured the people living on borders of all support and assistance from the coalition Government and asked them to keep their morale high as Government is fully with them.
