RS Pura, Dec 12: Former Minister and Congress Candidate for Suchetgarh constituency, RS Chib exposed the double talk of BJP and PDP on the burning issues of Jammu and Kashmir.
While conducting door- to- door campaign in Chakroi, Mr Chib said that the misdeeds of the previous representative of the constituency have put forth numerous problems.  He said that Chakroi has been neglected in development by the local MLA. The plight of the residents of this area can be felt by seeing the pitiable condition of the roads. He reiterated his commitment to strive hard for an overall development of the Suchetgarh, which he has been doing since long.
He cherished that at this stage people should come up to convey a message of unity and political maturity by defeating all designs. He cautioned the people not to fall in the trap of those who failed to deliver but floated promises only. Chib said he believes in meeting out the aspirations of the people which is evident from our past record.
Referring to the long pending demand of granting of OBC status to Jat community like other States  of Rajsthan and Haryana, Mr Chib said that Congress is already fighting for this and PCC chief Prof Soz has raised the issue a number of times with State and Central Govt.  He assured the gathering that on getting elected as MLA this demand will be raised at all the forums and the Govt will be pressurized to fulfill this demand.
Mr Chib said that BJP has a history of confusing the issue by taking in different shades at the same time. He said that the package of one time settlement of refugees was prepared during the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad but it was delayed due to PDP. He lambasted the BJP-led Central Government for trying to sabotage the rehabilitation proposal of the displaced community, submitted by the State Government. He alleged that the BJP Government did not want to help the PoK refugee people by making excuses on the name of West Pakistani refugees. “Delaying the rehabilitation proposal of PoK displaced persons because of the issue of West Pakistani refugees is just like denying employment to a new recruit on the plea that he would be allowed to join only after other unemployed are also accommodated,” he said.
