Chib reviews functioning of SMGS Hospital

JAMMU, May 26 : Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R. S. Chib chaired a meeting to review the functioning of SMGS Hospital, here today.
Mr. Chib took stock of facilities being provided to the patients and directed the hospital administration to ensure proper medicare to the patients. He instructed the concerned authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply for smooth functioning of the hospital as unnecessary curtailment hamper the functioning of these vital units which directly deal with the lives of people.
Mr. Chib asked the concerned authorities to ensure proper sanitation in the hospital and asked to take up the repair and renovation work in a phased manner. He also asked the Principal, SMGS to submit a proposal to the administrative department for outsourcing of sanitation of hospital.
The Minister also directed that the work on Ward No. 20 and 21 of Paediatric Block be taken over by the hospital administration within ten days from the concerned engineering wing i.e. R&B and JKPCC. He also directed Dr. Aniece Chowdhary, Officiating Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu to ensure that these wards become functional in time.
Mr. Chib appealed the attendants to avoid over-crowding in the hospital to allow hospital staff to perform their duties properly. He also directed the hospital administration to regulate the inflow of visitors so that the patients and hospital staff is not disturbed anyway.
Later, the Minister visited the paediatric and gynae ward and interacted with the patients and their attendants.
