BHADERWAH, Oct 1: Chief Engineer SAMPARK (Border Roads Organization) Tej Pal Singh today inspected much required bridge on Bhaderwah, Bani, Basholi and Pathankot National Highway near Basti area here.
During inspection, Chief Engineer took stock of the work going on as of now for the completion of 55 meters span bridge. He passed on the spot directions to the constructing wing to speed up the culmination work on the ambitious project.
According to 118 RCC (GREF) officials, the comprehensive field level inspection was launched to achieve the target well before the date of completion.
Chief Engineer also inspected under construction spots on BBBP road from Nalthi to Chattergalla and up to Sarthal and directed the concerned engineering section to finish the remaining work before onset of the winter conditions.
“The task is to check the condition of Bani, Basholi and Pathankot National Highway in various stretches besides the bridges on Bhaderwah-Chamba road”, informed the officials.
The upcoming New Basti Bridge on Bhaderwah, Bani, Basholi and Pathankot National Highway for general traffic is a classic example of an engineering marvel.
The construction work of the New Basti Bridge project is going on in full swing and only 5to 7 per cent of work remains to be completed, the credit of its construction goes to 118 RCC (GREF) that while defying untoward environmental situations is working on this project day and night.
The said bridge and BBBP road is thought to play an important role in the lives of public by creating new employment opportunities for the people of Bhaderwah, further told officials.
Notably, the work on the bridge is being executed under the supervision of Lt Col YK Gautam (OC) 118 RCC GREFF, OIC Rajesh Pandey and Engineers and JE.
