Chief PMG inaugurates new Post Office at Jagti Township

JAMMU, Mar 25:  Chief Postmaster General Jammu and Kashmir Chandra Prakash inaugurated a new modernized Post Office at migrant township Jagti, Nagrota today.
While dedicating the new Post Office Chief Postmaster General said that the Post Office at migrant township will prove a boon for the local populace as presently they have to visit Nagrota for postal services.
Apart from the conventional mailing services the new post office will also provide Savings Bank, insurance and money remittance services. The Post Office will surely serve customers in a better way, the Chief PMG expressed hope. He further announced that department is soon opening new Post Offices at Nagrota Gujroo (Billawar), DC Office (Reasi), Wagoora (Baramulla) and Kunnzar (Srinagar).
Director Postal Services, Jagdeep Gupta speaking on the occasion said that J&K Postal Circle is ambitiously looking for computerization and modernization of Post Office functioning in Jammu & Kashmir Postal Circle.
Rajinder Kilam Camp Commandant (Tehsildar) and other prominent persons Rattan Lal Raini, Veeri and Ravinder also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the decision of India Post and extended gratitude to Chief PMG J&K for opening of new post office. Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Jammu  R L Bharadwaj made welcome address and extended vote of thanks.
With this Department of Posts has accepted a long pending demand of local population for Post Office that will cater to the needs of more than 4000 families.
