JAMMU, Sept 4: A 2-year-old child today succumbed to his burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, a child identified as Surinder Singh son of Prem Singh, resident of Ramnagar (at present upper Gummat, Jammu), was shifted here at GMCH on August 15 after he suffered burn injuries in a fire incident occurred at his residence due to leakage of domestic gas.
However, the child succumbed to his injuries today at about 3 am. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
