JAMMU, June 12: Prof Keshav Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu, today inaugurated a ten -day Children Theatre and Dance Workshop for the wards of the University employees.
The workshop, organized by Department of Students Welfare, is being conducted by Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor, JU, who is a recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi’s National Award for Theatre Direction.
Ankita Yadav, a final year student of Institute of Music and Fine Arts is taking the dance classes.
Prof. Keshav Sharma, in his inaugural address, said that the intervention of art and culture at such a tender age would leave a very productive impression in the fertile minds of the children.
Earlier in her welcome address, Prof. Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare informed about the basic idea of conducting such activities for the larger benefit of the stakeholders of the University.
