Children Theatre Workshop culminates with play ‘Vishaw Guru Bharat’

JAMMU, July 14: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged ‘Vishaw Guru Bharat’, a new play by children at the auditorium of GCW Parade.
The play was outcome of month-long Children Theatre Workshop organized by Natrang, which is its annual event.
The play was written and directed by Sumeet Sharma, seasoned theatre trainer of children and youth.
Director Natrang, Padmashri Balwant Thakur presented merit certificates to the participating children and the performance was staged in collaboration with GCW Parade.
Speaking on the occasion, Padmashri Balwant Thakur complemented the team behind this production for providing a wonderful learning opportunity to children, who are going to lead the Nation in coming years.
He thanked Dr. Ravender Tickoo, Principal GCW, Parade for support.
The play ‘Vishaw Guru Bharat’ very beautifully depicts the strength and prowess of India which has all the capabilities to lead the world on the strong basis of its Indian-ness.
At the beginning, children are shown confused as they are not finding any solution to the threatening issues like inflation, pollution, global warming etc but later on they have an interaction with real Indian heroes like Swami Vivekananda, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Mahatma Gandhi and more in fiction and they find answers to all their questions.
The dedicated team of Natrang which made the workshop successful included Mohd. Yaseen, Kananpreet Kaur, Palshin Dutta and Mihir Gujral; choreography was done by Neetika Aggarwal and Sunny Mujoo; designing by Chandershekhar and Saujanya Shekhar; music by Nitish Sharma; Hall Management by Aadesh Dhar and the show was conducted by Riya Jandial.
Those who performed in the play included Aarav Gupta, Adeesha Singh, Aaradhya Sharma, Amayra Mahajan, Ayaan Dutt, Dhanak Chandan, Anmol Sharma, Jazz Shah, Nirvana Shah, Raaga Sharma, Ruhaan Chandan, Saisha Malhotra, Sharvya Sharma, Shranaya Mahajan, Vaibhav Mahajan, Viraaj Singh, Aadhiraj Dharmat, Aarvya Jain, Adhira Gupta, Advik Sharma, Anaadi Abrol, Avni, Daivik Gupta, Jayaditya Singh Jamwal, Mehak Chib, Priyal Gupta, Reeshik, Ryan Gupta, Sharvil Mahajan, Shivaay Mittal, Vaanya Modi, Viraaj Gupta and Kamakhya.
