China Mobile shares fall more than 2 pct after interim results

HONG KONG, Aug 16: Shares of China Mobile Ltd , the world’s biggest wireless carrier by subscribers, fell more than 2 percent on Thursday after the company announced first-half results that fell slightly short of expectations.
China Mobile’s Hong Kong-listed shares hit an intraday low of HK$89.50, down 2.1 percent, after reporting a slightly lower-than-forecast second-quarter net profit, pressured by rival subscriber schemes and rising handset  subsidies.
