BEIJING, Aug 10: China will encounter challenges meeting its 10 percent trade growth target in the second half of this year, Vice Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng told reporters on Friday.
Gao’s remarks came ahead of data that is forecast to show China’s export growth fell to a three-month low of 8.6 percent in July on faltering overseas demand.
Some analysts warned that China’s trade performance in July could turn out even weaker than expected, in light of slackening factory production, which skidded to a three-year low last month.
